How to colorize DOS prints at print time or programmatically

With Printfil you can easily colorize the captured DOS prints, even if originally they were monochromatic.

In this video, we see how to do it at the print time through the Printfil's preview window, if you're an end user, and how programmers can do it programmatically via some specialist printer control codes.

Let's go:

  • Print a DOS report
  • Click the icon to highlight the text
  • Choose text and colors
  • Printfil colorizes all occurrences
  • If you print to a PDF, it's colorized

For programmers:

  • Programmers can colorize text via escape sequences
  • Send the file to LPT1:
  • It's colorized
