1) Release 4.0 update 1 is available for download

You can download it from https://www.printfil.com/edown.htm.
The Update 1 can be installed over a previous version without uninstalling the old one because the configuration files will not be overwritten, but, please, remember to Close Printfil right-clicking the trayed icon before installing this Update.
If you already registered the previous 4.0 release, your license keys will be still valid.

New features:

• The user can now choose the default text color in the Printfil configuration dialog. Any RGB color can be chosen.
  
• Added recognition of new Control Codes embedded in the ascii print file to change the text color in the middle of the print job. You can switch the default color to any RGB value and then you can switch it back to the default color (that one chosen by the end user in the Printfil configuration dialog). More information are on the Printfil html manual.
  
• Added the "Suspend" feature to the Printfil menu. This allows the user to "Pause" Printfil, then to launch different print jobs using the external application, then "Restart" Printfil to have all the jobs printed at once.
  This is particularly useful to print some different labels on a pre-printed form or to "prepare" many invoices to be printed later at once.
  
• Added the ability to simultaneously use more than an escape sequence for each effect (Bold, Underline etc.).
  This allows Printfil to correctly manage jobs designed for different printer models: Epson, HP etc. without to modify the source application. To do so, simply separate the different sequences by the pipe char ("|" - 124 dec.) in the Printfil.ini file.
  For example: Ignore_Chars=26,69|27,67,66
  
• Catalan and Swedish languages has been added to the default Setup.exe installer program. Many thanks to the translators.

2) Announce: New Product: Odbc 4 All

ODBC 4 ALL is a 32 bit Windows utility designed to easily allow any application, including DOS, to run SQL queries using any ODBC data source, (Access, Informix, MySql, Oracle, Sql Server, ...), redirecting the output to the screen, an ascii file / table or a DBF table.
