Printfil 5.1 - Specify the PDF file name when exporting the print jobs without user intervention

we're pleased to announce:

1) Printfil 5.1 has been released

The upgrade is free for all the Customers who are actually using the 5.0 version, or who purchased a Standard or Personal Edition release 4.3 since 7 Nov 2005 (date of its release).

If you are already using the 5.0 version, your license keys don't need to be upgraded. Just download and install the new setup program at http://www.printfil.com/edown.htm

If you are still using an old 4.3 version, purchased since 7 Nov 2005, your license keys needs to be upgraded too. The AutoUpdate program will guide you through the updating process. If the automatic check has been disabled, simply right-click the Printfil's trayed icon and choose "Search for updates".

If you've purchased a previous 4.x license, since 2003, you can upgrade Printfil to the newest version by purchasing an Upgrade license for a very low price at http://www.printfil.com/eprice.htm

News:

• When a PDF file is created with user intervention (through the preview window), now Printfil remembers the choosen path, so that it will be proposed the next time.

• When a PDF file is created without user intervention, now you can specify its name and path, by the optional CFG file. If you don't specify this data, the PDF file will be named as the TXT one, just like in the previous versions.

• By the optional CFG file, now you can choose to automatically open a PDF file created without user intervention inside the default PDF reader (Acrobat Reader or others) installed in the client PC.
  
  Practically, you can use Acrobat Reader as an alternative to the Printfil's preview.

• Added a new command line parameter: CLOSE By running "Printfil CLOSE" you can automatically close all the Printfil copies which are in execution on the machine. It's useful when Printfil is run by a batch file, to avoid having multiple copies running simultaneously.

• Improved AutoUpdate features, which in future will make upgrades easier to install, with less messages on screen.

• Added the ability to move a Personal Edition license from a PC to another one without having to contact the support team.

• Improved the user interface in language Swedish and Czech.

• Some other minor improvements and bug fixes.

2) New Reseller's Search Engine on our web site

At http://www.printfil.com/eresell.htm you can find a new tool which allows you to search for an Authorized Printfil Reseller in your local area.
