Printfil 3.2 - Multilanguage, multiple files and fonts in a single print job

1) New version 3.2 has been released

The new 3.2 version has been released
You can download it from http://www.printfil.com/edown.htm . It can be installed in a PC where a previous unregistered version was expired.

Some of the new features:

• 11 languages are available in a unique installer program, including English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Greek and others. The desired language can also be switched at run time.

• Printfil now can check for multiple files to print using wildcards (for example c:\spool\file*.txt)

• It's now possible to use how many fonts you want in a single print job.
  For example you can print labels including barcodes and textual descriptions.

• chr(13) is no more ignored. It is now used to perform a CR. Customers of previous Printfil versions does not need to change anything in their ascii files, but it is now possible to emulate old printing techniques, like the strikeout. For example you can now print "TEST"+chr(13)+"----" to obtain the TEST string.

• Chr(0) is no more ignored by default, but now you can specify in PRINTFIL.INI which character/string you want to ignore in your print jobs. Please refer to the Printfil manual for more information.

• Added support for custom control codes: Double_Height, Normal_Height, Cpi12, Cpi14, Cpi15 and Cpi20

• Some minor changes to have a better user-friendly interface.

2) Redirecting lpt output using prn2file

You can use Printfil even if your DOS application cant redirect the output over a file. You can use prn2file to do so. More informations are on the html Printfil manual.

3) Awards

During the last few months, Printfil has received many awards from our Customers, specialized web sites and software portals. You can see some of them on http://www.printfil.com/awards.htm . We want to thanks all the people which made this possible.

4) How to upgrade your licenses

• Customers who bought the 3.1 version can upgrade their licenses for free. Please write to info@printfil.com providing the invoice number and date of your last purchase to obtain the new activation keys.

• Customers who bought a previous version can upgrade their licenses at the cost of 29 Euro per license. Please write to info@printfil.com providing the invoice number and date of your last purchase. You will receive an e-mail containing a link to purchase online your upgrade licenses.

5) Special Offer ends on July 16

The special discounted prices are available till July 16. Point your browser at http://www.printfil.com/eprice.htm to place your discounted orders before that date.

6) Closing period for summer vacations

Our offices will be closed starting from July the 19th till August the 3rd included.
During the closing period you can still place your orders because the ordering system is totally automated.
We will answer to incoming support requests starting from August the 4th.
