Printfil 5.13: After previewing a DOS print job, you can delete some pages, create a PDF and send it via stmp, even with recipients in Cc and Bcc.

we're pleased to announce the new Printfil 5.13 release.

What's new:

• Now you can delete pages from a print job in the print Preview window, and print / PDF / email just the remaining ones
  If you'll highlight some text or change the destination printer after deleting some pages, Printfil will create a new, complete, print preview, so that (for example) you can print some pages on a physical printer and some others on a virtual printer (or e-mail them as a PDF file)
• When creating PDF's and e-mailing them automatically via smtp, now you can specify e-mail addresses even in Cc (Carbon Copy) and Bcc (Blind Carbon Copy)
  
• Improved recognition of printer escape sequences to avoid printer control codes (extra, strange characters) printed within the text in the final print job
• Some old Unix / DOS programs, designed to drive mainly dot-matrix printers, were not correctly terminating the last line of a print job by a CR-LF or FF. A matrix printer would print the line however, without ejecting the sheet, but most of the graphical printers would not.
  Printfil now handles even this case and fixes those jobs by automatically terminating the last line and ejecting the page. If you were suffering this problem and want to enable this new function, without having to fix the source program, you just have to select the HP_Complex.seq emulation at Configuration -> Standard -> Escape
  
• Some other minor improvements

The upgrade is free for all the Customers who are using the 5.x version, by using the same license codes. You just need to download and install the new Printfil setup program (or leave the AutoUpdate program doing it automatically) without uninstalling the current version first.

If you are still using an old 4.3 version, purchased since 7 Nov 2005 (date of its release), you've right to the free upgrade too, but even your license codes needs to be upgraded (Printfil 5 uses different codes than Printfil 4). The AutoUpdate program will guide you through the update process and will automatically update everything that is needed. If the automatic check has been disabled, simply right-click the Printfil's trayed icon and choose "Search for updates".

If you've purchased previous 4.x licenses from 2003 to 2005, for a limited time only, you can still upgrade them to the newest version simply by purchasing Printfil Upgrade licenses at discounted prices. Don't miss this opportunity! it will expire soon!
