When creating a PDF file by the Printfil virtual printer, Printfil returns Error 1 or it hangs

Google translation:

Since 1996, the Windows printing solution for legacy programs !

When creating a PDF file by the "Printfil" virtual printer, Printfil returns "Error 1", or it hangs and I have to close it by the task manager.

The GhostScript version you've installed does not like the CTRL-D character which is sent at the end of the PostScript job, so, when Printfil calls GS to create the PDF file, GS hangs, and Printfil may hang too.

  1. Go to Control Panel->Printers and Fax

  2. Right click the "Printfil" printer and choose "Properties"

  3. Click the "Device Settings" tab.

  4. Set "Send CTRL-D after each job" as NO

  5. Apply the changes.
